iGloo - Resident Pin Codes for Unit Locks

This article will guide the property management staff on how to issue an Algopin code in iGloo locks.

If your property is using iGloo unit locks and they are offline, meaning there is no bridge that is connecting them to the internet, the following article describes how to issue a pin, how the resident receives it and how to remove it.

Issuing a Pin:

- From Elevate web, you will locate the resident profile of who is requesting a pin code. Navigate to Contacts and search for the resident either by name, email or unit number.

- Scroll down to the Integrations section and you will see the iGloo lock settings. If the resident already has their credentials, you will see their assigned doors and a button labeled "Issue Unit Pin Code Access". If the resident does not have their credentials, you will see a button labeled "Create iGloo User".

- When you click Issue Unit Pin Code Access, an email will be sent to the email address from the resident profile. If we are synced to your property management system, it will be the email we pull from there. This is the only way the pin code is able to be retrieved by the resident currently.

Resident Experience

- As indicted above, the resident will receive an email with their pin code in the email body. This pin code is currently 9 digits in length, which is a technical limit imposed by iGloo - we do not control this length.

- The pin code will need to be used within the first 24 hours to activate

- The pin code will initially last the length of the lease, based on the lease end date. If a resident renews or goes month to month, they will need to be issued a new code at lease expiration.

Pin Removal

- In the event the pin needs to be removed earlier than the lease end date, you will navigate to the resident profile and click Revoke Pin Code Access.

- This will create a sync job that will need to be completed in Elevate Hub mobile application.

- In Elevated Hub, click on Keyless Access > iGloo > and you will see the pending sync jobs. Click on the subject job/unit, make sure you are close to the lock (within a few feet) and click Sync Lock. This will remove the pin code.
