How to Log and Check Out Packages Using the Elevate Hub App

A complete guide to scanning deliveries with AI Quick Scan, notifying residents, and securely signing out packages for pickup.

The ElevateOS platform provides a seamless, end-to-end workflow for managing property deliveries. Using the AI Quick Scan on Elevate Hub app, staff can log incoming packages in seconds, instantly notify residents, and securely capture digital signatures during pickup. Staff also have full access to manage these deliveries manually via the web dashboard.

Step-by-Step Tutorial

Part 1: Scanning and Logging Packages (Elevate Hub App)

  1. Launch Quick Scan: Open the Elevate Hub mobile app and tap the blue Quick Scan button located in the bottom right corner of your screen.
  2. Capture the Label: Your device's camera will open. Snap a clear picture of the shipping label by clicking "Take Photo".
  3. Verify AI Data: The AI will scan the image and automatically pre-fill the resident's name, unit number, package tracking number, and carrier.
  4. Add Details: Choose the designated pickup location for the package and add any additional comments if needed. The photo you took of the label will automatically be attached to the package record.
  5. Submit: Tap Add Package. The system will register the package and immediately return to the scanner screen so you can quickly scan the next delivery.

Part 2: Managing Packages via the Web Dashboard (Computer) In addition to using the mobile app, your on-site team can fully manage the package lifecycle from a desktop computer. By logging into the Manager Dashboard and navigating to Operations > Packages, staff can view the package log, manually add new deliveries, and check packages out.

Note: The AI Quick Scan feature relies on the mobile device's camera and is only available through the Elevate Hub app. Any packages created via the computer dashboard must be logged via manual data entry.

Part 3: The Resident Experience.

  1. Instant Notification: Once a package is added via the app or dashboard, the resident will receive an immediate push notification.

  2. Resident Visibility: Residents can open their building app, navigate to the Packages section, and view their packages, delivery status, tracking info, and the photo of the label. (Note: If your property utilizes door-to-door delivery, this status will reflect that process; otherwise, it will show as available for pickup).

Part 4: Checking Out Packages.

  1. Locate the Package: When a resident arrives to retrieve their item, navigate to the Packages section in either the Elevate Hub app or the web dashboard.

  2. Select and Sign Out: Select the specific package the resident is picking up.

  3. Capture Signature: Have the resident sign for the package directly on your mobile device or tablet. Tap Confirm and Sign Out to officially close out the package record.

Manual Entry Fallback While the AI scanner on the Hub app is highly accurate, the AI Quick Scan may occasionally fail to return a useful result. This typically occurs if the package label is damaged, difficult to read, or has mismatched information (such as names, directions, or unit formats).

If the scan does not work, manual entry remains available as a seamless fallback on both the Hub app and the web dashboard. Your staff can simply bypass the scanner and manually type in the tracking number, carrier, and resident details to ensure the package is successfully logged and the resident is notified without delay.
